Tridonic defines R&D hardware design engineers as New Product Development engineers. As NPD Engineer you have technical expertise to develop switch-mode power supplies as new products on existing platforms, partly in collaboration with other Tridonic development sites Responsibilities As NPD Engineer, you identify, collect and evaluate new product ideas and other fact-finding work Develop mixed-mode circuits for power electronics applications, to achieve high accuracy, robustness, and low power consumption Development of electronic components for innovative lighting solutions Creating specifications for technology product requirements and functionalities Investigate inductor core and capacitor dielectric materials Create simulations and calculations of electrical circuits in the area of power electronics Perform detailed component-level analysis to identify locations and operating conditions of high electromagnetic / thermal stress Survey and investigate advanced circuit topologies component / board / packaging / manufacturing technologies to further improve circuit performance, fault-tolerance, and to reduce overall cost, weight, sizes Creation of feasibility studies including creation of prototypes based on a product specification Analyzing and solving problems which are leading to process problems or yield losses in production Skills & Experience You have work experience of at least 5 years within electronic development or technical support You bring a professional education in Electrical Engineering or a university degree You have strong analytic skills, enjoy problem-solving, ability to establish priorities and cope with pressure Able to work in a team-orientated, target driven environment Language skills (fluent in written and spoken English) PC literate – “Microsoft Office” programs Last but not least, you demonstrate strong customer focus and interaction skills What we offer Private Health Insurance Programs and benefits designed to support employees in balancing work and family responsibilities Wide range of training programs designed to support personal and professional growth Social gatherings and community events designed to foster connection and collaboration among employees, because we shine as one Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
